Five days in Copenhagen and I enjoyed it all. I stayed at the Crowne Plaza-Copenhagen Tower and was upgraded to a room with floor to ceiling windows (I like stuff like this). But I found out that Copenhagen doesn’t have air conditioning in the hotels; not sure about the homes. When the hotel person told me there is ventilation, I looked at him and said… you mean you are just circulating the air… WHAT!! Those that know me know that I don’t like to be hot. As it turns out, the room stayed at a nice temp even through the night with me grabbing for covers.

Let’s talk about the city. I was located outside the city center but the Metro was across the street and could get you there in about 15 minutes. Once in the city center you are transported into a different universe. The area is bustling with people, cafes, restaurants, and of course lots of retail stores. I decided to hop on a sightseeing bus and walk around later. I enjoyed looking at the different buildings and the workmanship of the older buildings. The architecture of the buildings in Europe is like no other. I also took time out to have a hot dog from one of the street vendors (pic below). The items added to the hot dog seemed weird but I wanted to eat it like a local, so I didn’t remove anything. It was actually good… or I was just so hungry anything would have tasted good.

Copenhagen is a beautiful city. It’s worth putting this city in your travel plans.
