I stayed 4 days in Montreal, Canada at the Holiday Inn Montreal Centreville Downtown hotel. I’ve always wanted visit Montreal because they spoke French. The hotel was located on one street and the start of Chinatown on the other . It was not the best of hotels. It was in need of some serious updating (e.g., dimly lit hallways, old carpet). I tried to locate another hotel but quickly realized I would lose the points used to book the stay.
But it turns out, there was some good that came out of this location. A few blocks up the street was this beautiful church (Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal) and a little further was Old Montreal. The area had several streets lined with shops and eateries. I took my time strolling through the area and having a bite to eat.
